Fire Extinguisher Technician — Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in fulfilling service needs
  • Servicing of customers’ fire extinguishers including annual maintenance, recharging or repair and hydrostatic testing
  • Servicing of customers’ emergency and exit lights to including required maintenance or repair
  • Advise customer on fire protection equipment and techniques, as well as fire code standards and interpretation and compliance
  • Perform site surveys to educate customers of required related fire protection equipment
  • Monitor and report issues with operation of company vehicle
  • Monitor and maintain proper working order of recharge equipment used on company service vehicle
  • Understand product capabilities, warranties, product usages and challenges, to further educate and serve external customers
  • Responsible for notifying direct supervisor of any equipment break down or malfunction or any unsafe working conditions
  • Responsible for complying and enforcing safety requirements while on company property and at customers site
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and as necessary depending on the situation and location
